1. Start by going into your settings menu.

2. Next, scroll down to “Sharing and Broadcasts” and select it.

3. From there, you will see the option to enable HDCP–which stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection.

4. Once you’ve turned that off, scroll down a little further to find the “Record video clip” option.

5. Toggle that to “On” and you’re ready to start recording your gameplay footage!

10. To share a video clip, select it in the Capture Gallery, press the Options button > Share, and choose where you want to share it.

How to share your recordings with others

Once you’ve recorded your gameplay footage, you’ll probably want to share it with others. The PS4 makes this easy with its Share menu.

To share a video clip, select it in the Capture Gallery, press the Options button > Share, and choose where you want to share it. You can share video clips to Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube. You can also copy video clips to a USB drive so you can watch them on your computer.

If you want to share a screenshot instead of a video clip, go to the Share menu and select “Share Screenshot.” From there, you can choose where you want to share your screenshot. You can also press the Share button on your controller to take a screenshot at any time. Just be sure that “Share Screenshot” is selected in the Share menu first.
